Abstract

This study is aimed to investigate about The Effect of Spongebob Cartoon implementation toward Students' Achievement in Biology for the 10th class at Islamic Senior High School (MA. Laboratorium) Jambi. The purpose of this research is to prove significant score of cartoon of Spongebob toward students' achievement. This research uses quantitative approach namely quasi experiment research. The design of this research is pre-experimental-one group-pretest-post test design, while the data were collected through written test, interview, observation and documentation. This research revealed that Cartoon of Spongebob Squarepants significantly influenced toward student's achievement in Biology subject, particularly in MA. Laboratorium of Jambi. It is proved by the acquisition of rartt11metic > r1able (0,288 < 0,32 > 0,283), that means Ha can be accepted. From the result of interview and observation showed the implementation of cartoon Spongebob help students to understand the lesson and be more enthusiastic. Therefore, It is recommended for teacher to implement teaching media through cartoon Spongebob in biology class, particularly in invertebrate lesson.
