Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the effect of Gallery Walk on Students’ English Speaking Skill at Eighth Grade of MTs Guppi Jambi. This research method was quantitative and the design of this research was preexperimental. The population of this research was 18 of the eight grade students of MTs GUPPI Jambi. The Researcher used Total Sampling technique because the population and sample are the same. The researcher used Speaking Test as a research instrument and this test was carried out before and after using Gallery Walk. The research data analysis was processed by using SPSS 17.0. The results of this study indicate that the application of Gallery Walk has an effect on students' speaking ability. This can be seen in the results of Wilcoxon test that Sig. 2-tailed was 0.000 it was lower than 0.05 (0.000≤0.05). It can be seen that there was effect of Gallery Walk on students' English speaking skill. It can be concluded that there was effect of Gallery Walk on students' English Speaking Skill at Eighth Grade of MTs Guppi Jambi after using Gallery Walk.
