Abstract
Sakinah family according to the Islamic sharia is the concept of a family is built on a legitimate marriage, able to fulfill his spiritual and material life in a decent and balanced, suffused atmosphere of affection among family members and its surroundings harmoniously, matching, as well as being able to practise, embody and deepen the values of faith, devotion and akhlaq noble. In fact, the community of Lake District Town of Jambi have implemented the Gulf effort is the formation of families through the embodiment of sakinah sense of mutual understanding, mutual acceptance of reality, mutually make adjustments, fostering a sense of love, implement the principle of deliberation, rather forgiving, contribute to the advancement of joint (mutual support), leading the family to be educated and learned men, the relationship between family members and between neighbors and communities, fostering religious life within the familyaqeedah unity, there. Thus, these communities can be categorized "Sakinah Family I", i.e. a family formed through legitimate marriages based on regulations on the basis of love, praying, fasting, exercise, paying zakat, learn the fundamentals of religion, being able to read the Qur'an, has a religious education, and have a place to live.
