Abstract

This study aimed to find out the effect of Story Pyramid strategy on Students’ achievement of English language study at the Eighth grade of Islamic Junior High School Darul Ulum Jambi, this research was quantitative research and it was conducted by using quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design . The subject of this research was 42 students, 21 students in experimental class and 21 students in control class. The result of the analysis indicated that the mean of post-test score (77,81) was higher than the mean of pre-test score (58,52). So that Ha was accepted. It means there was a significant effect of using Story Pyramid strategy after giving treatment. Next, the writer had computed that the score of ttest ≥ ttable (2,32 ≥ 2.02). So, Ha was accepted. It means, there was a different between those who are taught by using story pyramid strategy and those who are not at eighth Grades of Islamic Junior High School Darul Ulum Jambi
