Abstract

This study discusses the role of organizational culture in improving the quality of education at Muaro Jambi 26 Secondary School. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation, while the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Building organizational culture in schools is a necessity where culture is a characteristic, quality and identity of the school as well as a bridge to improve the quality of education in the school. School culture is the quality of schools in school life that grows and develops based on the spirit and certain values adopted by the school. The results of the study show that the role of organizational culture in improving the quality of education is done by instilling values, norms and habits that exist in the culture that is applied in school. The values, norms and habits that are in school are applied through a culture of healthy and clean living, a culture of discipline and a culture of courtesy.with the aim of creting a conducive, environmentally sound school environment in accordance with the school’s vision and being able to compete with other schools in the quality of education.
