Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop speaking skills in the eighth grade of MTs An-Nur Tangkit in the form of supporting media speaking material. The type of text that is developed focuses on recount text that is intended for first semester students. The background of problems that inhibit student learning, by presenting this product is needed to assessing students' speaking skills. The design used in this study is research and development (RnD). This research was conducted using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This additional book on speaking material was validated by two validators who were lecturers teaching at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, The State Islamic University Sultan Taha Syaifuddin Jambi The Media has been validated and implemented on students. The results of product trial based on the results of the questionnaire showed 88.8% were accepted. Based on this, the eighth grade students of MTs An-Nur Tangkit showed interest in and motivation to learn the Media Wordless Picture Book (WPB) in honing speaking skills.
