Abstract

This study was aimed to describe the Content Appropriateness of English textbook based on 2013 Curriculum used by the Seventh-Grade Junior High School in Jambi. This research was qualitative approach and it was conducted by using content analysis design. The researcher used the rubric assessment provided by Pusbukur 2020. The data was taken from the “Bright” English textbook used by the Seventh Grade Junior High School which is published by Erlangga. The textbook contains 12 units. The researcher used all available units. The findings of this study show that only 83,11% of the teaching materials in the “Bright” English textbook are acceptable and good, but that they require additional though in many aspects before being used.
